The farm renewable energy specialists, the GreenYard, will be hosting a seminar at this year’s Winter Fair on the 11th of December 2014 at the Kings Hall venue.
The GreenYard have been assisting many N. Ireland farms and businesses over the past ten years with practical renewable energy and environmental advice and continue to encourage farm businesses to make the most of renewable energy opportunities and energy savings.
The GreenYard will host the 1pm seminar slot in Pavilion 1 (Show ring hall). The focus of the seminar will be maximising renewable energy returns on the farm and getting the most from energy sales and savings. The director of the GreenYard, Sean Convery, is of the opinion that dairy and poultry farmers must now make a decision to go with renewables on their farm or the opportunities will rapidly diminish. “The N.I Governments’ incentivisation of this sector has been an important catalyst for the uptake of green energy technologies but continual grid capacity restrictions and the proposed reduction in incentives will see this window of opportunity quickly closing.”
The GreenYard will also demonstrate how existing renewable energy generators can maximise their returns through the trading and selling of green energy. The Green Yard team will also be on hand at Stand 106 in Pavilion 1.
