For small farm businesses, installing a wind turbine, PV solar array or a biomass burner is often beyond the means of the farm enterprise. There is much talk of finance but the reality of getting a loan is often quite different and many hurdles have to be overcome.
At the GreenYard we have been helping clients to source and secure funding over the past few years via the DARD Rural Development Programme. The past month saw us obtaining £185,000 for the farming community. This latest successful funding now brings our total funding successes to a total of over £1,000,000. Successful projects include nine medium wind projects, eight small wind projects, six solar PV projects and thirty eight technical assistance grants.
